Release 3Robert Kendrick Seeded #1 in Natomas/USTA $50,000 Men's Professional Tennis Tournament Tournament Hosts Strong Playing Field Sacramento, CA. (September 16, 2009). Robert Kendrick, ranked #85 in the world, is the #1 seed in the Natomas/USTA $50,000 Men's Professional Tennis Tournament. Kendrick, an American, is joined in the seedings by fellow Americans Wayne Odesnik (#97), Michael Russell (#98) and Kevin Kim (#106), who are seeded #2, #3 and #4 respectively. The tournament hosts a strong playing field. Six of the 32 players competing in the main draw were also entered in the main draw at the US Open--Robert Kendrick, Kevin Kim, Jesse Levine, Wayne Odesnik, Ryan Sweeting and Jesse Witten. Most notably, Jesse Witten, ranked #187 in the world, defeated the #29 seed Igor Andreev before losing in the third round to the #4 seed Novak Djokovic 6-7, 6-3, 7-6, 6-4. The tournament is hosted by Natomas Racquet Club October 3--11. Admission is free for spectators until the final weekend, when there will be a $5.00 per person admission charge.
